Downside of Multitasking
When I read John Timmer's You can multi-task, but don't expect to learn anything, I thought of Joi, Level 60 Multi-tasker. Joi, does your experience jive with this report at all? I think the basic premise might be true when equality task priority is assumed but not otherwise.

I think that makes sense. However, usually when I'm multitasking I performing relatively repetitive functions and don't think I really need to learn anything. I'm sometimes trolling for something I need as well. When I need to do something like write a post, write an email or resolve a difficult issue, I usually shut everthing else down, hyper-focus, and after I'm down, pop back up again.
